Meet results

Good weather and a great turnout for our first ever meet at the Edgewood Oak brush Plains State Forest yesterday. Thanks to the Southold high school JROTC for organizing a competition with six other high schools. which started at 8am, which meant controls needed to be set starting about 6:30am. Unfortunately, sunrise was around 7:15, which was still too dark to see so we had to hustle and ended up setting W-7 at the wrong trail junction - oops! We fixed that plus another transposition error (Y5 and Y6) and the rest of the day went smoothly.

Larry Costantino, an elite Triathlete, on the Blue course and Kim Ferina, an Adventure racer, on the Yellow course, were the only 2 "civilians" to beat the top JROTC cadets.

We have some corrections to make to the map and look forward to using it again.
